Still working away on my next online class so I made a few smaller stamps (about 2″ diameter). I started with a geometric one that I forgot to get a photo of because I didn’t really like it all that much. Then I made one that looked more like a dandelion seed head. That got me going on seed pods so I made a different one.
Here are the stamps with their prints on paper. I think I will make a few more of these seed related ones.
Here I tested them out on a scrap piece of felt. I printed these with screen printing ink instead of thickened dye since I didn’t have time to get that all set up. I also worked today on some free motion machine stitching on felt which I will post about on Sunday over at The Felting and Fiber Studio.
The stamps are great Ruth. The dandelion seed head must have been a little tricky to cut out.
Thanks Lyn, the dandelion was a bit tricky especially since my smallest cutting tool seems a bit dull. Not perfect but it looks OK.
I luv them and wonder about (or for) the new ones 😉

Thanks Sabine.
The printing looks like fun. I’m not sure about cutting out those intricate shapes.
Thanks Marilyn. It mainly takes time. If you go slowly, it’s a fairly simple process.
They look very fiddly to cut out but I imagine you can keep on reusing them so it will be a worthwhile investment of your time.
Yes, Teri, a bit fiddly. But they can be used for a really long time on paper or fabric.
Lovely – can’t go wrong with seed pods! Because they’re organic they’re supposed to be irregular. 🙂
Thanks Kim – one of the reasons I always like to use organic design, I don’t have to worry about it being irregular or warped or lopsided 🙂
